One Show.

It's actually done! Everything got mailed out last night, only with about 24 minutes to spare from the final overnight pickup in dallas at 9:30pm. The third Kinko's we went to was the only one that was actually able to print them, and then we had to drive to the airport to mail it out. We barely made it, but now its all over, and all we have to do is wait...

Matt and I worked on that for three months, and that last week and a half was intense. We lived in the lab. We thought about sneaking a couch in there. Although, right now I wish I could take a break from that room for a few days. I will be heading over there in a couple hours, but this is my 3 hour break! I am celebrating by going grocery shopping and going to home depot. Just like my 11th birthday party!

Here's our final one show print stuff if you're interested: (we also submitted Television and Innovative, but those were taking too long to upload...)

Rappin' it

Last week I sat in on the Copywriting class that some of my friends are in, and they were given an assignment. We all wrote down 2 words, each on their own sheet of paper. Then, we crumpled them all up, put everyone's words together and everyone grabbed 2 pieces of paper, so we all had 2 words. With those words, they were told to write a song that uses both of those words, something about fusing them together.

Vibrant & Toaster…

Jason and I…

All in all, I think we brought the milkshake to the yard.

Apartment??

Yes, please. So, I got a new apartment! It's on Henderson about 10 minutes away from school, and did I mention that I love it? It is amazing, beautiful, fun, rad, and sweet. All of those things. Superbowl Sunday I had some people over to it, and we played Nintendo Wii, took pictures, had a sock-sliding, kitchen dance-off, and partook in general merriment here. Overall, a good time.

When I moved to Texas for school, all I brought was a suitcase full of clothes and a sleeping bag. (I went to that god-awful Corral thing...) So after those wondrous 3 days, I "moved in" to my dorm, which was just me putting clothes in the drawers. I didn't have bedding, hangers, pillows or anything. So I went to Bed, Bath and beyond to get that kind of thing and got the obligatory dorm-wall posters for the walls. But I still didn't need any furniture. Then, sophomore year I moved into a condo with a girl I met in French class. So she furnished it, since her mom owned it, but I did have to furnish my own bedroom. I found the cheapest furniture that still looked nice enough at Target. I still have that stuff – a desk, bookcase, and TV stand. They are pretty nice actually. I also got some accent items at IKEA, one of my favorite places. (I won’t get into the story about how my boyfriend, David, and I slept there with 500 others the night before it opened. Not because we are crazy or freaks or anything—we are those things, but that wasn’t why we did it—we were just bored and it was a funny thing to do. So, I kind of did get into that story, I am just closing these parentheses now so that I shut up.) I got a big wall mirror, two lamps and two shelves. So I still didn’t have or need a couch or table or anything like that. I lived in that condo for a year and half. A room full of furniture is nice. So, when I moved in to this apartment I didn’t have a couch or TV or dining table or anything. Which made my living room look rather barren. I couldn’t stand it, so I asked my dad for a loan to buy a TV and bought a couch on my boyfriend’s credit card after getting rejected by the IKEA credit card I applied for. The point of this story is that because of my impatience and perfectionism, I now have a very awesome IKEA couch, a nice TV in my living room corner, and a lot of debt. Not to mention I have 2 kittens who are secret kittens seeing as I do not have the ridiculous amount of $500 for a pet deposit. (I do plan on paying it someday, so I do not always have to live in fear, but for now, I'm broke.)

At least my new apartment is badass. Come over and play!
